Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Elliott Taylor, an American stage, screen actor and producer. Her best-known role is as a movie actress, for her role in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) as well as The Mentalist. She received a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies at Brown University, and a Master in Fine Arts in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an actor, writer and actress who works in theater, film and television. She began her career as a theatre actress but then proceeded to be a part of numerous television series, mainstream and independent films. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico in addition to appearing on BET's epic series The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she received critical acclaim and various nominations and accolades, among them her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for the Best Actress. She made her professional acting debut when she played Ariel In The Tempest in 1995. She's appeared on Broadway in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is appreciated for films such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Also, she is well-known for her part in the crime drama series on ABC, High Incident.
